Hyderabad: woman robbed at home

Two unidentified men today robbed a woman of Rs 50,000 cash and 40 grams of gold ornaments after throwing chilly powder into her eyes at a house in Musheerabad area here, police said.

H Begum was alone at home when the two men knocked, threw chilly powder into her eyes as she opened the door, and then tied her up.

"They took away 40 grams gold ornaments and Rs 50,000 in cash kept in the cupboard and locked the door from outside before fleeing," said sub-inspector of police K Gopal.

The incident came to light when her son and other family members returned. Probe is on, police said.
