I'll take my new nickname: Jennifer Lopez

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez loves her new nickname "Slay Lo".

The 46-year-old singer has been wowing on the red carpet so far during awards season, with some incredible ensembles, reported Femalefirst.

Asked what she thought about the nickname, Lopez replied: "I'll take it!"

The mother of two is a multi-talented star who has found success as a singer, actress and talent show judge.

Her latest role sees her star as single mother and detective Harlee Santos alongside Ray Liotta in "Shades of Blue" - a part Lopez knew she wanted as soon as she read the script.

The programme tells the story of Harlee getting involved in a FBI anti-corruption probe.
 

"When I read it, it made me feeling something, it made me feel something right away. And I know if it makes me feel something then it's going to make other people feel something."

She is currently a judge on "American Idol", which comes to an end this year after fifteen seasons.
