I-T officials beaten up

Five Income-Tax officials were today severely beaten up allegedly by the owners of a cracker shop near Upper Bazaar here, police said.

The officials of the Income-Tax department were bundled into a room and thrashed badly when they went there for raids, they said, adding, that an investigating has been initiated into the matter.
