"IAC will remain intact. This is a movement for Lok Pal bill", Bedi told reporters tonight.
When asked about coal allocation controversy and resultant stalling of Parliament over the issue, she said if the issue was debated in the House, it would get "diluted" and the alleged scamsters would manage escape.
It was the duty of opposition parties to seek clarification on the issue, which the majority of the people also wanted, Bedi said, adding, she was not supporting BJP, as made out in a section of the press.
Earlier, she interacted with students of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, where she inaugurated Sri Krishna IAS Academy.
When a questioner asked her when can Indians expect a corruption-free country, she said "once a strong system like Lok Pal is in place, corruption would gradually decrease."
"It will take time and youth have to come to streets and prevent people who were reportedly taking money for votes and accept freebies like mixies, grinder and television", Bedi said.
There should be right person in the right place, she said.
"It is a serious matter of concern that there is no Lok Ayukta in Tamil Nadu. Major parties here appeared to have agreed and decided to not to have such system in the state," she said and asked whether Tamil Nadu was free from corruption.
