IAS and DANICS officers, who are working in the Delhi government, today held a joint meeting and passed a resolution against "misbehaviour" by political executives.

In the meeting, AGMUT-cadre IAS Officer Association and DANICS officers Association expressed "anguish and pain" at the "misbehaviour" by political executives.

"Both associations have passed resolution that this must stop," said a senior official. In the meeting, some of the officers cited instances of "misbehaviour" and sought the associations' intervention in the matter.

The move comes days after the chairman and managing director of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), K R Meena had shot a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, seeking an apology for his behaviour during a meeting.

The issue of Health Secretary Chandrakar Bharti was also raised in meeting. In the past, the Delhi government has publicly criticised Bharti for not attending meetings on important issues relating to health and environment.

A member of the association said that in the resolution, we stated that officers are bound by law and are working for the people, but "misbehaviour" with them must stop.

In December last year, Delhi, Andaman Nicobar Island Civil Services (DANICS) had gone on mass leave for one day after Delhi government had suspended two Special Secretaries in the Home department.
