A six-member idol theft gang was arrested here today and a two feet panchaloha idol of Lord Vinayaga, believed to be about 100-years-old, recovered from them, police said today.
They were arrested by a team of officials of the Idol Wing-CID attached to the Economic Offences Wing, Pon Manickavel, Inspector General of Police told reporters here.
He said a search was on to nab one more member of the gang.
