Idols stolen from UP temple

Two idols were stolen allegedly by unidentified persons from a temple in Anurukha village here, police said today.
"Ashtdhatu" (combination of eight metals) idols of Sita and Laxman were stolen from Ram Janki temple last night, police station incharge Tara Singh Patel said.
The incident came to light this morning when the devotees visited the temple, he said, adding, the idols are said to be worth crores of rupees.
An FIR in this connection has been lodged by priest Raja Ram and efforts are on to nab the culprits, he said.
