IED recovered in Kupwara

A major tragedy was averted by timely detection of an improvised explosive device in Titwal area of Kupwara district near the Line of Control in Kashmir.

"Army and Police yesterday carried out a joint operation which led to recovery of IED in the area of Tithwal on the banks of Kishan Ganga river," a defence spokesman said today.

The IED was destroyed on the spot by the Army.
