IFWJ delegation meets UP CM over non-submission of Majithia

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said the state government will submit a status report on Majithia wage board for journalists in the Supreme Court soon.

"The Chief Minister has expressed concern over non-submission of affidavit on status of implementation of Majithia wage board by the state government and assured action in this regard soon," Hemant Tiwari, Vice President, Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ), said.

A delegation of IFWJ had yesterday met Yadav and apprised him that the state had not yet submitted the status report to the apex court.

The delegation also met Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan and handed over to him the memorandum of their demands.
 

The CS directed the Principal Secretary, Labour to submit the status report on Majithia wage board to the SC at the earliest, an official release said.
