Shares of IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company today rose by 2.5 per cent after the company bagged a Rs 162.58-crore order from GAIL to construct a pipeline in Bihar.
The scrip rose by 2.48 per cent to end at Rs 55.80 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 6.51 per cent to Rs 58.
At NSE, it went up by 2.2 per cent to close at Rs 55.70.

In terms of volume, 1.22 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 5 lakh changed hands on NSE during the day.
The engineering major "has received the Fax of Acceptance (FOA) from GAIL for laying and construction of pipeline along with associated facilities of section II pipeline from Chainage 159.70 km to Receiving Terminal Cum Future IP Station-4 at Dobhi (Chainage 345.08 km.) for Phulpur-Haldia Pipeline Project (Phase 1B) in Bihar", as per a BSE filing yesterday.
