An anti-riot law should be urgently implemented in the country to ensure proper rehabilitation of people displaced during the Muzaffanagar riots, NCM said today.
National Commission for Minorities chairman Wajahat Habibullah recommended speedy rehabilitation of the riot-affected people according to the provisions of the proposed Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Reparation) Bill, 2011.
Habibullah also expressed concern over the delay in arrest of accused in the cases of rape and sexual harassment even two months after the incident.
