The All Nagaland Private Bus Union and Winger Operators have called an indefinite bandh of private bus and winger services to Manipur from this morning protesting against the killing of one of its member in Imphal on March 7.
All Nagaland Private Bus Union and Winger Operators president G Kits, vice presidents Ahoto Achumi and Hovishe Achumi said that the strike has been called as one of its member, Manas Ali, a driver who went missing along with vehicle in Imphal on February 23 was reportedly found dead in Kangpokpi area of Senapati district in Manipur on March 7 morning.
They said that family members of the dead driver had filed an FIR in West Police Station, Imphal on February 23 but the police and administration showed no seriousness in the case.
They said the bandh has been called demanding that Manipur government should give compensation to the kin of the deceased driver and prompt investigation of Manipur police into the case.
