India's new envoy to Switzerland
Senior diplomat Smita Purushottam has been appointed India's Ambassador to Switzerland.
A 1980 batch IFS officer, Purushottam is currently serving as Ambassador to Venezuela.
She is expected to take up her new assignment soon, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
