Indian Bank gives Rs 3.17 crore for Uttarakhand relief

Public sector lender Indian Bank has presented Rs 3.17 crore to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna towards rebuilding the State hit by devastating floods in June this year.
All the staff members of the Indian Bank contributed their one day's salary amounting Rs 1.59 crore and an equal amount was sanctioned by the Board of Directors to remit a total sum of Rs 3.17 crore to Chief Minister's Relief Fund, the city-based Indian Bank said in a statement.
Indian Bank Chairman and Managing Director T M Bhasin presented the cheque to Bahuguna in Uttarakhand recently, the release added.
