: After being grounded for nearly four months since October 2013 near Delft Island of Sri Lanka, an Indian boat was today salvaged by 14 Indian fishermen.
Indian Coast Guard ship ICGS Rajtarang escorted three boats and 14 Indian fishermen and handed them over to Lankan Navy for the salvage process yesterday morning, an official release said.
After the salvage process, Lankan Navy handed them back to the Indian Coast Guard last night near Indo Lankan Maritime Boundary Line, who brought them along with their boats to Rameswaram.
The fishermen and the boats, including the salvaged one was handed over to Fisheries Department authorities, the release said.
