Indian girls win silver at Asia Pacific Softball Event

India's women's softball team won the silver medal at the Asia Pacific Middle East Little League (Senior Division) Softball Championship.

India lost the final 0-10 to Philippines after beating hosts Singapore 11-1 in the semi-final. In the earlier league matches, India beat Guam 17-7, Singapore 14-4 before losing to Indonesia 2-4. Philippines also beat them by an identical margin 1-0 in the round robin phase also.

All the expenses for this trip was borne by the Softball Federation of India.
