A 30-year-old Indian man was killed and four others sustained severe injuries in a horrific car collision in Sharjah, police said today.
The accident took place on the Al Dhaid-Ras Al Khaimah Road near Al Manama area on Sunday.
Police said that the accident happened when the driver of the vehicle carrying five people collided with another while taking a U-turn, The Gulf Today reported.
The deceased, identified as RAA, died a few minutes after reaching Al Dhaid Hospital.
The collision involved two cars, a Chevrolet and Lexus.
The five victims were rushed to the hospital, and the driver died a few minutes later. The police towed the car away from oncoming traffic.
The accident caused serious injuries to all the passengers of the first car, police said.
