Indira Gandhi's statue unveiled at MPCC office

A statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was today unveiled in front of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) office here on the occasion of her 97th birth anniversary.

The statue was unveiled by MPCC President Arun Yadav.

Speaking at a function organised on the occasion, he recalled Gandhi's contribution in the creation of Bangladesh.

Yadav dwelt at length the late leader's role in green revolution, nationalisation of banks and abolition of princely rights of various rulers.

Congress activists distributed fruits in hospitals to mark the occasion.
