The third edition of Indo-UK Joint workshop Plant Molecular Farming-III, will be held at Bharathiar University here on July 27.
The objective of the two-day workhop is to demonstrate the importance of the plant expression system as an alternate system for the production of valuable and complex therapeutics, a university release said.
The workshop is a part of a larger UKIERI (UK India Education and Research Initiative) sponsored collaborative research program that is in progress between the University and St George's University of London since 2007.
Dr R Sathishkumar, Associate Professor and Group Leader, Plant Genetic Engineering Laboratory will organize the workshop, which will provide hands on training to the participants, it said.
