An infant's charred body was dug out and its parents were apprehended on charge of setting the baby ablaze in Sivsagar district of Assam today.
According to police, the infant was burnt to death last night as the parents were sleeping.
However, after getting complaint from neigbours, who informed the police as the couple buried the body within their compound, the police recovered the remains.
The police later arrested the couple, identified as Chote Saha and Ranju Devi.
Devi's brother Sunil Saha has also been arrested, while one more person is absconding.
