Information kiosks have been installed in all Haryana jails that will notify the inmates about their time left in prison, possible date of release, among others.
Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain inaugurated one such information kiosks installed at district jail Sonipat today, an official release said.
The minister said all the information related to the prisoners in the jails will be available on the information kiosks.
It will contain such details as the date when a prisoner came to jail, the possible date of release, and time of parole taken by him, she said.
Any prisoner can view information through biometric on the computer screenand can take a print-out by paying Rs two, Jain said.
