Inmate murder case: Two jail wardens suspended

Two wardens of the district jail have been suspended in connection with killing of a 34-year-old convict inside a jail barrack here, an official said today.

Wardens Shayam Singh Rana and Ulfat Singh were yesterday suspended by the jail authorities, Jail Superintendent Rakesh Singh said.

The jailor and a warden have already been suspended in connection with the case.

Meanwhile, Shiv Kumar Yadav from Faizabad jail has been postedas the new Jailor of Muzaffarnagar District Jail.

Chanderhas, serving life imprisonment, was killed and another injured after being allegedly attacked by other inmates in barrack number 3 of the district jail.
 

Four convicts accused of killing Chanderhas have been shifted from the jail here.
