Yavatmal police today claimed to have busted an inter-state racket, involved in the sale of stolen cars, with the arrest of one of its member and seizure of eight high-end vehicles.
Superintendent of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma said that a team led by sub-inspector Nilesh Brahman arrested Sandeep Suresh Lalwani (28), a local, on a tip-off.
Lalwani allegedly confessed to have sold several stolen cars in the last one year. While four cars were seized from his godown, four others were seized from buyers in Ghatanji, Wardha and Yavatmal.
