An international beach volleyball tournament will be held at Ramakrishna beach here from November 13 to 17.
After launching the logo of the tournament, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Infrastructure Ganta Srinivasa Rao said it was an opportunity to showcase Visakhapatnam globally.
International body's (FIVB) Technical Supervisor Blair Harison, who inspected the venue, said this was for the first time an international beach volleyball tournament was being held in India.
As many as 64 teams (32 men's and 32 women's) will take part in the event.
