A private bus was set afire by irate villagers after it hit a motorcyclist who died on the spot in Navadapant area here, police said today.
The Baroda-bound bus hit Heera Singh (30) who was riding a motorcycle from the rear following which he died on the spot last night, they said.
Enraged over the incident, villagers set afire the bus after all passengers got down from it.
By the time police reached the spot, the bus was reduced to ashes.
The driver of the bus is absconding and search is on to trace him soon, police said.
