The ISKCON annual book distribution marathon is currently underway at Mayapur in Nadia district, the spiritual headquarters of the institution.
All the centres of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) worldwide hold the marathon every year where religious books are distributed among the people.
The marathon is held throughout the month of December.
The objective of the ceremony is to realise the dream of the founder, Acharya of ISKCON A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupad to spread the essence of Vedic wisdom in the world, Jayapataka Swami Maharaj, senior monk of ISKCON, said in a statement.
