IT raids on 29 premises of business group

In a simultaneous operation spread across several states, Income Tax department today carried out raids at 29 premises of a prominent business group dealing in mines, granite and cement manufacturing.

The search operation was conducted at two premises in Delhi, as many in Gujarat, one in Madhya Pradesh and remaining in Rajasthan, an IT official said.

In Rajasthan, premises of the group in Kishangarh, Jaipur, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand have been raided, he said.

Details of seizure, if any, will be disclosed only after the operation is over.
