IUML Natnl secretary Samdani injured in attack

Indian Union Muslim League National Secretary M P Abdussamad Samadani was injured after a man attacked him with a knife at Palappura in the district today, police said.

Samadani was attacked when he tried to settle a dispute between two groups. He has been hospitalised and his condition is stated to be stable. The attacker was also hospitalised with serious injuries after the crowd hit him.

Samadani is a well-known Muslim scholar and orator and two time Rajya Sabha member.
