J&K govt introduces bill to enhance members' daily allowance

Jammu and Kashmir government today introduced a bill in the Legislative Assembly for increasing the daily allowance of members to Rs 1,000.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah moved the bill to amend the salaries and allowances of members of the state legislature from Rs 500 to the amount.

The daily allowance of the members was last revised in 2006.
