J&K govt sanctions staff for Heritage Conservation Authority

Jammu and Kashmir government today sanctioned staff for the proposed J&K Heritage Conservation and Preservation Authority (JKHCPA) to help it perform mandatory functions for implementation of the JKHCP Act.
The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
The said authority would include Chief Conservationist, Conservation Assistant, Accounts Assistant and Junior Assistant as members, an official spokesman said here.
The move is aimed at making JKHCPA functional and perform mandatory functions for implementation of the JKHCP Act of 2010, he added.
