J&K govt suspends 22 officials for remaining absent

Jammu and Kashmir government has placed 22 officials under suspension for remaining absent from duty in Kupwara district.
During an inspection of various offices by Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara yesterday, 22 officials were found un-authorisedly absent from duty, an official spokesman said.
He said the absentees included officials from the departments of Public Health Engineering, Health and Forest Protection Force in Handwara area of the district.
Necessary action under norms has been initiated against the absentees, the spokesman said.
