Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today inspected the development works under execution on the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine route and discussed measures for further development to provide better facilities to pilgrims.

Keeping in mind the increase in the number of devotees, Vohra asked for more efforts to facilitate the religious trip of the pilgrims.

Vohra, who is also the Chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, paid obeisance at Vaishno Devi on Ramanavami and prayed for peace and prosperity in the state.

Later, he inspected the projects under process and issued directions to the authorities concerned.

He observed that to meet the requirements of the pilgrims a long-term perspective plan has to be evolved and the facilities expanded, upgraded and modernised.

While inspecting the dispensary at Bhawan, Vohra issued instructions for establishing a laboratory and an X-ray plant to facilitate the management of medical emergencies.

During the inspection of the under-construction Parvati Bhawan, the Governor was briefed that this complex will be completed within one month.
