Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik Wednesday directed administrative secretaries of all government departments to remain accessible to the public.
"To promote public outreach and speedy grievance redressal, the governor has directed the administrative secretaries to remain accessible to the public," said Girdhari Lal, Deputy Secretary, General Administrative Department in an order issued Wednesday.
Lal said the department had time-to-time directed the administrative secretaries not to fix any meeting during the time allotted for grievance redressal.
"Once again, the department impressed upon the administrative secretaries to keep two hours from 1 pm onwards on a daily basis for the redress of grievances," Lal said.
