J&K:Hydel project engineer, helper washed away in Chenab river

An engineer working at a hydel power project site and his helper were washed away in the Chenab river in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir today.

Engineer Pramod and helper Hushiar Singh were working on the test site of Keru Hydel Project during drilling operation, when they slipped into the river and were washed away, police said here.

Police and other workers have launched a rescue operation with the assistance of the Army, but the duo could not be traced till last reports came in.
