A 14-year-old boy, who had gone missing from his house here last month, has been rescued from Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital Srinagar, the police said today.

Irfan Malik had informed the Domana police that his brother, Zeeshan Malik, was missing from his house in the city's Bantalab area since July 31, they said.

A case was registered and investigations were started, the police said.

Police teams were dispatched to different locations to trace the boy, they said.

Malik was found in Srinagar and handed over to his family yesterday, the police said.

The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the boy fleeing his home.
