J-K police announces absorption of 177 SPOs as Constables

Jammu and Kashmir Police today announced absorption of 177 Special Police Officers (SPOs) as constables in the force.

Director General of Police Ashok Prasad said the SPOs have been absorbed on the recommendations of Police Establishment Board for their extra ordinary contribution in maintaining peace and order in the state.

He said that orders to this effect have been issued by Police Headquarters and the Zonal Inspectors General of Police advised to issue formal appointment orders.
