Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked the departments concerned to ensure electricity in 805 villages by March 31, 2017.
After ensuring electricity, Das directed the officials to celebrate 'Ujjwala Diwas' after electrifying the villages, an official release said here.
Road and electricity have an important role in the development of villages, he said.

Stating that the government was committed in providing electricity to the entire state by 2019, Das said simultaneous works were on for production, transmission and distribution, the release said.
There would not be any shortage of electricity to villages, the release quoted Das and added, the Rural Electrification Corporation Limited was ready to finance the required funds.
