J'khand CM asks people to plant five saplings each

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today appealed to the people to actively participate in the month-long plantation programme of one crore saplings beginning July 1.

Asking everyone to plant five saplings each, Das urged them to take a pledge to use water, electricity and water for irrigation according to their conscience.

"The next generation will remain secure when environment remains secured," an official release quoting Das said.

A pledge programme would be organised on June 28 here in which all ministers, secretaries, police personnel, officials, employees and others would participate, it said.

The programme would be held at division, district and block levels on June 29 and June 30.
