J'khand Govt announces cash back for online electricity bill

Development Commissioner Amit Khare today announced that the will give back facility to those online electricity bill payment.

Khare said the facility will kick off after the approval of State Electricity Regulatory Commission, to promote payment, officials said.

Khare, who is also the additional chief secretary, said consumers will get one per cent or maximum Rs 50 back by the Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited for domestic, commercial, small industries and farming connection for payment through mode - card, online, net and mobile banking, the officials said.

At least 25 lakh consumers will benefit from this step, he said.
