Jail warden gets 3 year imprisonment for selling drugs

A local court here has awarded three years imprisonment to a jail warden for selling drugs to prisoners.

The verdict was announced by the court yesterday.

Jail warden Harinder Singh was arrested by police in February 2012 for selling drugs to prisoners.

During search operations, jail authorities had recovered 600 sedatives tablets and 16 gram smack powder.

The case was registered on the complaint of Jail Superintendent, Faridkot.
