Jailor suspended

Central Jail was suspended today for dereliction of duty in a case related to alleged movement of prisoners outside its premises.
Official sources said the jailor A K Muktiar and another jail staff were served their suspension order.
The state government had on November 21 ordered a magisterial inquiry into alleged movement of prisoners of the jail outside its premises and use of various illegal facilities by some of them.
It is, however, not known whether the report had been submitted.
