Veteran Jana Sangh leader Raj Kumar Sama has died, family said. He was 94.
He had been ailing for the last few months and died of old age last evening.
Born in a village in Punjab in October 1920, Sama came to Agra in 1936 and worked his way up to become the President of the Agra Shoe Factors Association, a post he had held for the past 58 years.

He founded the Agra Vyopar Mandal in 1983 and was its president ever since. He was also for a term an MLC and also Chairman of the UP Export Corporation.
Tributes were paid to him by the Governors of Rajasthan and West Bengal, Kalyan Singh and Kesrinath Tripathi respectively and UP BJP President, Lamxikant Bajpeyi.
Sama was cremated here this morning, with a large number of people attending the funeral.
The Agra Vuyopar Mandal and the Agra Chemists Association called for a closure of shops today in memory of Sama.
Sama is survived by two sons and two daughters, while his wife haddied in 1985.
