Janmashtami celebrated with fervour at Ramlila Maidan

The birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated in a traditional manner on the dais.

Protesters offered prayers and followed it up with singing songs devoted to Lord Krishna.

Several protesters observed fast on the occasion and arrangements were put in place to distribute the 'Prasad' from midnight.

People from the adjoining areas too participated in the celebrations.
