Jason Biggs to become first time father

'American Pie' star Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen have announced they are expecting their first child.

The 35-year-old actor and Mollen got married in 2008, shortly after meeting on the set of rom-com 'My Best Friend's Girl'.

Biggs broke the news during his appearance on US show 'Chelsea Lately', reported E! online.

Mollen, 34, confirmed her pregnancy by posting a picture of her sonogram on Instagram, jokingly writing, "My new assistant is so lazy."

She then shared an image of four different pregnancy tests she had taken - which all showed positive.

Biggs also took to Twitter after his TV appearance to spread the word.
 

"My wife is pregnant," he posted.
