Jason Mewes wants to direct a horror movie

Actor Jason Mewes says he wants to make the move from acting to directing and make a horror movie.

The 39-year-old 'Jay and Silent Bob' star is currently preparing for his and co-star Kevin Smith's 'Hollywood Babble-On' tour, reported Metro online.

"I'm spinning a bunch of plates, as Kevin says. I might direct a horror movie. I directed a short, which turned out awesome. I'm big into horror, big into sci-fi. But I'm not a big fan of romantic comedies," Mewes said.

The actor, who admits he has been sober for exactly 1,385 days after struggling with a heroin addiction in the past, was set to star in Smith's version of 'The Green Hornet' before the idea was scrapped but said he's a big fan Seth Rogen's portrayal of the superhero.
