Jharkhand CM asks MLAs to launch campaign against liquor

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked all MLAs to launch an awareness campaign against liquor in their respective constituencies.
Das made the appeal in the state Assembly while replying to ruling BJP MLA Radhakrishna Kishore's query whether the government has any plans to impose a total ban on liquor.
The CM said the government has already stated that it will give RS one lakh each to liquor-free villages.

Meanwhile, a team of BJP leaders including five MPs, an
MLA and general secretary today met the families of those deceased in the tragedy amid resentment from locals against the police.
BJP MPs Ram Shankar Katheria, Rajvir Singh, Devendra Singh, Mukesh Rajput, Ashok Doharey, MLA Jagan Prasad Garg and party General Secretary Pankaj Singh met the families of the victims in Aliganj town even as locals protested and accused the police malpractices.
