Jharkhand CM urges Prabhu to speed up state's rail projects

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today urged the Railway ministry to speed up rail projects and introduce new trains in the state.

In a letter to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, Das requested speeding up of work on Namkum-Kandra (Adityapur), Giridih-Parasnath-Madhuban and Tori-Chatra, an official release said here.

He also urged to run the Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express and Ranchi-Mumbai LTT Superfast Express on a daily basis considering the requirement of the people of the state.

He also requested to run the Tata-Amritsar-Jallianwala Bagh Express five days a week and extending Puri-New Delhi Purushotam Express till Jodhpur while seeking a train from Ranchi to Dehradun via Lucknow, the release said.
 

The Chief Minister had called on Prabhu in New Delhi on July 16 and reviewed railway projects.
