IAS officer Sajjal Chakraborty has been served with a show cause notice for allegedly arguing with Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, following which he was removed from the post of chief secretary.
Chakraborty has been given three days time to reply as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against him for arguing with the chief minister during a meeting on January 20, a senior government official said here today.
The senior IAS officer was removed from the post soon after and is now an additional chief secretary in the Department of Civil Aviation.
He was replaced by Additional Secretary in the Union Home Ministry Rajiv Gauba as the new chief secretary.
