Funny man Jim Carrey has joined hands with horror film regular Eli Roth to develop a movie adaptation of comic book "Aleister Arcane".
Carrey, 54, will also serve as the executive producer on the project with Roth attached to direct. Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment will develop the movie.
"Aleister Arcane" was originally written by Steve Niles in 2004, with illustrations by Breehn Burns.

The story revolves around a group of young children, who befriend an elderly man who has been placed on the fringe of the town. Once the lonely man dies, he leaves a curse on the town and those who shunned him, forcing the children to work together to save their families.
