Jind murder case: Police takes 2 inmates on remand

Police today took two inmates on protection remand for three days in connection with a murder case in the court premises here.

Police officer Sadhuram said Sanjeev alias Kokla and Ashish were taken on protection remand for three days in connection with murder of Sandeep, who was killed in the court premises here on September 1.

Both accused were jailed in district prison here in other cases, he said, adding, they have accepted their involvement in plotting the murder of Sandeep.

Sandeep of Mokhra village was shot at by four unidentified men, dressed as lawyers. He was later rushed to a local hospital where he was declared as brought dead, police said.
 

According to police, Sandeep was also allegedly involved in crimes like robbery, kidnapping, murder and ransom.
